Given that my mother has been in Canada since 1982, she still doesn’t fully embrace Canada as her home. She is a citizen and does in fact welcome the culture of Canada into our home. When asked to explain further, she wasn’t quite sure what it was or what the reason for the doubt of being truly Canadian.
